I'd like to remind everyone that this author initially reported this story with headline "'Is the UVA Rape Story a Gigantic Hoax?' Asks Idiot", obviously not looking into the story or doing any research before posting.

My hatred for Peter King runs so deep that I will reflexively disagree with ANY opinion he shares. It's actually kind of a problem, because it means I start to dislike beers and restaurants that I previously enjoyed.

The story seems kind of sketchy to me to begin with. "Hold it's legs"!? That's a little too objectificationy.

i bet you think they are a bunch of idiots for investigating the story

Highly flawed? You mean made up?

If they were wearing ratty sweatshirts, beanie caps, scarves and sporting lumbersexual beards this would have been hailed as a brilliant "artistic urban exploration." Since it's a few white guys with collared shirts, they're "bros."

If only you made hot sex tapes or decide to have long legs rather than being a boring know-it-all...Don't blame the world for your choices.

I hate to ruin your snuff film fantasy, but you're going to need a lot more than one day's exposure to aesbestos to develop aesbestosis or lung cancer.

I'm a Ph.D. myself and an adjunct professor with a two bedroom place but I actually think this is a pretty good example of the American dream. Like it or not, the Kardashian/Jenner extended clan makes a lot of money directly and Kylie is getting her share of it, which is fair. My work as a teacher just doesn't have

Yeah but my house has one major advantage over Kylie Jenner's: no Kardashians or Jenners live in my house.

The 12 Apostles? Bros.

It's true. It's been studied quite a few times and had the same result. Basically it's that players don't get hot and then make shots. It's that making a few shots in a row makes them remember the stretch as if they were hot, when really it's just normal to have groupings of higher or lower than average results.

To insist that athletes don't have streaks is to ignore athletic psychology and the bevy of actual evidence. You can't treat shots as a coin flip, because they don't work like that.

Actually there is a really great RadioLab podcast on this - and there really is no such thing as a "hot streak" statistically. The only athlete that ever beat the odds and had a true hot streak was Joe DiMaggio. No such thing.

I don't know how it is in your state, but in mine the police regularly drive unmarked cars of various makes and models. If it's got red and blues mounted all over the car, it's official. It's laughable that you think you can ignore a cop car just because you feel the make and model is "a POS".

Ok? I'll buy your premise. Who the fuck pretends to be a cop in broad daylight???

Yes, of course. Especially if they pull up next to me and I can clearly see the cop inside the car like in the case above.
