Quite true. Also true: one is not morally (or logically) obliged to believe Given's narrative of her oh-so-selfless motivations, simply because she got hit.

Yeah, booed at Sarah Lawrence - not exactly a bastion of non-progressive thought. I'm not sure what it takes to get an entire cadre of budding SJWs (or their Eighties equivalent) to publicly hate on a beautiful black woman, but it's noteworthy.

I favor the long-established narrative in the black community: Robin and her mother were essentially grifters who conned Tyson into marriage with a fake-pregnancy story (as well as a no-prenup arrangement). There was never any intent to "protect" — only to profit, which seems confirmed by the huge volumes of money

"You're the protector. One minute you're running from him, the next you're protecting him. And being a black woman you feel you want to protect your man."

The house should take unlimited action on this prop... assuming, of course, it bothers to take a half-minute to review the publicly available data on his background etc.

Totally agree, actually. Holding onto the ability to find/enjoy cheap pleasures is one of the most underrated life skills around.

You can do still it for $5 or 10 in some spots, buddy. That's not in dispute. But as a premise for travel in the US, at motels (as the OP implied), it's a pretty grimy/brutal reality.

Paying the same amount? Uh-huh. Congratulations on finding the only service-based sector of the economy where prices have shown zero inflation in 25 years.

Counter-point: there are a fair number of folks who've been in both situations, and distinctly recall feeling better off w/the lower wage. It's an incredibly common conversation in some (admittedly, not all) circles at a certain age.

Fifty-dollar motel rooms rock. The proximity to meth, discount hookers and truck-stop food alone makes them a screaming deal. Also, the parking-lot gunfire is an effective wake-up call.

The NYT (or WSJ) published an infamous piece in the late Eighties entitled "Going Broke on $600K a Year"... this seems like progress - especially in inflation-adjusted terms.

"she's not THAT unusual."

... and let's not forget the infamous "Teen Rocker Snapchats His Boner" story on Gawker from a few weeks ago — complete w/auto-loading .gif.

"People's bodies are shaped differently."

"at such a posh engineering school..."

"Fit as hell" doesn't actually work as a universal synonym for "muscle-bound Adonis" though, does it?

Indeed. Organized child rape in Pakistan itself targets boys with much greater frequency than the girl-focused variant seen here in the UK, for example. And abductions tend to be lengthier as well.

Hmmm... could be. The "Post" article cited her major concerns as crop tops and miniskirts — neither of which seems like an intrinsically downmarket/cheapo item though.

"No one gives a shit anymore."

Diet pills are sold mainly through TV, particularly infomercials and massive ad buys.
