@Katie Did.: yay!
@Katie Did.: yay!
Ugh, I thought only guys did this! (apparently I'm totally out of the loop, reading the other comments)
@ytuhermanotambien: Ah, but we all have our crappy exes that we are now embarrassed about, right?
I only watched this once, when I was maybe 12 or something, and yet I often recall a number of scenes like I saw it a hundred times. One of them is the orgasm-talk scene, and I always wonder, "Is that POSSIBLE?"
Pretty sure I would have loved Daria in elementary school, and that she would have helped keep me sane. As it was, I didn't have anything like Daria to make me feel like it was ok to be different, smart, uncool, cynical... Yeah. Really wish I could have watched Daria when I was like, 10.
Huh. According to this, I'm an Asian male.
@FroderickFronkensteen: That's what I was thinking... what's with the "Men do this, women do that"? Lots of men could benefit from this same advice (the preening less often, but with the rise of the metrosexual, who knows), so I don't see why it all has to be gender related. How about:
@Gnatalby: Agreed.
"girls fake sex, guys don't. For girls it's a business venture, for guys it's an adventure. For girls it destroys their identity, for guys it creates a stronger sense of self."
I always thought the Girl Scouts were affiliated with the Boy Scouts, but when I found out they didn't discriminate based on sexuality, weren't religious, and had awesome feminist ideals, I decided my daughters could join.
My ISP will still let me hate on stupid, redneck, religious nutjobs, right?
Is it grounds for divorce? Hell, yes it is. She's a lying, fraudulent, selfish person. She conned a bunch of business owners, and, most importantly to the husband, played with his emotions in the worst way possible.
@stoprobbers: I don't think anyone reasonable says C-sections are evil, the argument is against unnecessary C-sections, which do raise the risk of serious complications considerably.
@thebutton19: That is an awful story, and it does really highlight why, even in emergencies, patients need to be respected and listened to. Doctors and nurses are not all-knowing, benevolent gods that shouldn't be questioned or asked to explain themselves.
@DepecheNode: I've given birth twice, and yes, my midwife and nurses attending explained everything little thing to me. I appreciated it, and it allowed me to trust them when I was more vulnerable than any other time in my life. I can't even imagine if something was going wrong, and it was clear that things weren't…
@GinnyfromtheGinPalace: You know, I think you have totally valid reasons for defriending... if it will make you happier/ less stressed out, I say go for it!
@weetziebat: Why, thank you!
@weetziebat: She's the Betty Draper of Jersey Shore. We know we should feel bad for how she's treated, but we just don't like her enough to.
@MrsNorthman: Is it maybe that men feel more comfortable or otherwise inclined to cat-call women from other races, that don't look like their moms or sisters or something?
@gertietheduck: Yep. This guy seems to lack any normal human values. I really can't believe supposedly "respectable" magazines hire this guy. I mean, New York Times Magazine? What the hell are THEY thinking? If nothing else you'd think they'd be afraid of lawsuits. Guess that shows just how much impunity these people…
