@ppw: Agree. And I've heard plenty of horror stories from hospital births, yet would still debate those who say that hospital births are always bad. Home births deserve to be looked at in a way that is more nuanced, looking at the particular people/ circumstances involved, the same way hospitals are covered when they

The weirdest part is that her hips look totally strange and pinched in the final ad, she looked so much better in the original!

My partner once had a labmate who gave him a condom in a small gift basket on Valentine's Day... I'm thinking she wrote in and got the idea from Dupre!

Ugh! Now I can't get the image of urine (or other things, thanks QoB) spraying in all directions out of the piercing... I'm not sure why that bothers me as much as it does, but there it is.

@MagImpalor is a god damn spy.: I wasn't going after this article, which I think presented valid points about how we view women's roles in relationships, and after all, this is not a news organization, but a place to read about/ chat about societal issues and other random stuff. I was referring to CNN and the like,

@Edie Spencer: As someone who spent a summer smoking crack as a teenager, I think I can say pretty confidently that there is a much bigger difference between these substances than their legal status.

@MagImpalor is a god damn spy.: Totally agree, and might I add that none of this is our damn business. The couple's marital problems are between them, and maybe their loved ones. Why is there more press about this than a near infinite number of actual news stories?

@Edie Spencer: Are you seriously saying that an occasional glass of wine or beer is comparable to an occasional crack rock?

@Little Time Bomb: Thanks! March 6th, so I have quite a while yet to tear up about everything.

@Strict: It's probably mostly my pregnancy hormones, but this had me crying and laughing all the way through.

So sad. Every body in this world is unique, if hers allows her to run better than her competitors, well, isn't that kind of what sports are all about? How many 4'11'' Olympic runners do we see? I should start bitching that I would be able to win if I didn't have to literally run against giantesses.

@Ruby_de_la_Booby: The only parents I know who didn't totally change when they had kids are also the "dbag" ones. Having a child is a life changing experience, it's supposed to change you completely.

I agree with most of the character observations made by Horyn, but the one thing that bugged me was the focus on Snooki: I've only seen a couple of Jersey Shore episodes, but Snooki doesn't seem any worse than the other girls on the show, and isn't very different from a lot of other "reality stars". The one big

@stacyinbean: Let me know if you find a wayback machine, and I'll see if the hospital is still around! Oh, the guilty pleasures of the 50's...

@stacyinbean: My grandma told me how she would just LOVE to go into labor because she would go to the hospital, have the baby, then spend the next ten days relaxing there, and every afternoon they would have cocktails! So weird...

@netfe: That's what I do, buy all boys shoes. The girls shoes look stupid, not as comfortable, not as durable, and are more expensive. I consider myself very lucky my kids don't want that shit... They also wear almost all boys shorts, as most of the girls ones are fucking daisy dukes- ugh.
