Strange. When I saw just a picture of the band on another site, I assumed it was meant to give extra lift, not to squoosh stuff down. This placement looks supremely uncomfortable to this double-D.

You’re very fortunate to be completely present and aware 100% of the time of everything that’s going on around you. Unfortunately, some of us mere mortals occasionally get distracted, despite our desire to pay attention to what’s important.
Great idea! So simple, and it could save both a life and a lifetime of heartache.
How wonderful! Thank you for putting more positivity into the world; we can all use it right about now! I just got the text for today, so I’ll have to put you and your website on my thankfulness list. ;)
I shudder to think what kind of services will be offered to encourage chastity and honesty.
I love this, actually! Gratitude, like so many good practices, is a habit that can be cultivated. Like you, I’ve started myriad gratitude journals just to let it fall by the wayside after a short while. And I suspect getting the reminder in the morning will help me shift my mindset to see all the blessings around me a…
“I am against censorship but” I definitely think those whose views are abhorrent to me personally should be censored. You don’t feel a twinge of hypocrisy in typing that?
I suspect that if we treat sex lightly before marriage, we’re that much more likely to treat it lightly after marriage. Impulse control and delayed gratification are skills that grow stronger as you exercise them. In case you can’t tell, I’m one of those weirdos who waited until marriage to have sex and has been…
After years of concentrated brainwashing by my tech-tethered husband, I’ve gone nearly paperless, keeping short notes and lists and information in my phone, like a good little Jetson. Even so, there are times when only paper will do, when the physical act of touching pen to paper awakens some spark of joy that lies…
Oh! Also, it was neat seeing Denise finally lay hold of her confidence and get down to the business of being a doctor. I loved the moment when she saw gunshot Carl being carried to the infirmary, then visibly squared her shoulders and started calling out orders. Maybe her time as a wolfy hostage did have one positive…
I’ll have to join the chorus of dissenters and say this was one of my favorite episodes ever.
Most “used to be” servers I know, including me, bend over backwards to be respectful and kind to those who are in the trenches now. My husband just passes me the bill now in restaurants because he knows that whatever he tips, I’ll likely add extra to it anyway. This girl must have been a real piece of work. Dodged a…
1. Rude or dismissive to waitstaff or others. If you’re not kind to service people, you’re not kind.
I’ve been keeping our family recipe collection on Dropbox for a while now. It’s more typing, of course, because I type up each recipe in Word and save it as a separate file, but it’s easy to search, and when a friend wants a recipe, it’s easy to print one up from wherever I am. I can also use whatever device I have…
My hero!! Thanks!
I’d like to know that, too.
I prefer the American male accent. The female Siri (American or British) always sounds so smug and condescending to me. Hmm, that might be an issue for me to work out in therapy.
Thanks for the great, practical tips for dealing with anxiety. I especially liked the idea of “practicing” calmness and relaxation at time when you’re not actively suffering.
I disagree. Perhaps it has fallen out of common practice, but it’s not a relic by any means. If anything, the rarity of it makes it even more meaningful to the receiver, especially if the note writer makes an effort to personalize it and acknowledge the thought that went into selecting the gift.
I second that recommendation. I was so tired of buying purses that wore out after six months to a year that I finally splurged on a Saddlebag satchel about two years ago. It is gorgeous. I wear it crossbody style. It’s so tough I don’t imagine I’ll ever need to use the Saddleback 100 year warranty. I season it every…
