This post completely floors me. I'm a tad smaller than you, but I would never guess that by your photos. You look really stunning to me. The surprise: either that's your great skill, my body dysmorphia, or something in between. Regardless, thank you, thank you. THANK YOU for this post. It's so incredibly helpful for

I identify with this on like a bazillion levels and also have this slightly starstruck feeling because you live near me (at least, MSU is near me and I assume you live close to your school lol) and I totally love your style. Just........ <3

Those outfits (and you) look great. You have a really nice sense of style and owning yourself.

Great professional look and I have to say your accessories make the outfit unique, so keep hitting the flea! The brooch on the blazer makes a big difference.

Also just realized that I am subconsciously nodding even as I navigate away from this post. If that's not positivity, I don't know what is!

Yeah, I am in my fourth year and entered a relationship halfway. I've gone from 112 to 150 but I dunno I really do feel my sexiest now. So maybe it's stress/happy weight cuz I went up to a D and I am crazy in love with the extra poundage on the chest.

Loving all of this (especially the brooch and your necklace holy cow) and it's so great to read candid writing about fashion and clothes that I can actually afford.

I am 5*10 216 right now and honestly, you hide it WAY BETTER than me. I would like to note that I am also going to be gaining weight (which scares the hell out of me) because I am pregnant. Reading how body positive you are really made my day. THANK YOU!

Good tip with the skirt. I'm busty and short waisted and skirts always look silly on me since my boobs seem to take up half my torso. Might as well eliminate the torso element altogether.

Oh girl, this is good. I'm also 5'4" and while I clocked a 19 lb loss since Thanksgiving when I weighed myself last Friday, I'm still over 200 lbs. I love your writing, your style, and that we're basically the same proportions (so I can go buy those jeans). You look fabulous and happy!

Hey, I just came here to say that I do not have the problems you have in dressing my body, but this was still an enjoyable piece to read. I can't pinpoint why, but thanks for writing it.

Shoes on fleek and on point and whatever my teenager says. Love!

yes! Yes! More of all of this, please! I want to know what people are wearing, buying, and doing with their makeup. More, please!

Gaahh now apparently I need a long white blazer? Because that outfit is perfect and I never know how to wear tank tops OR skirts like that. You look great! These are exactly the types of outfits that I always envy on other people but never think to try. I'm really tall and always feel like I'm standing out way too

I love this! That polka dot shirt and pointy toe shoe = everything. I also realize I have ZERO idea how to tell how much anyone weighs, bc has I been guessing I would have said you were a LOT less than 240-some odd. Not that it matters, but you rock your bod and I love it :) That is all.

As a fellow female academic, I LOVE this: 'I want to make sure that I bring my body into my work.'

you're beautiful and you're clothes are so fricking cute! how can you pull of kitten heels so well?! you're a sorcerer ;)

I think you look great, Katie. And I love the polka dots and black skinnies.

Congrats on feeling so good in your own skin. :)

These are really cute, and the way the proportions work make a very useful illustration of how to dress a larger figure! Nicely done. I enjoyed the writing, too!
