Hard to do, because when you’re busy focusing on kills, the other team is focusing on objectives, which will give them a huge base advantage. You can really tell when a player is from LoL or DotA when, if you’re fighting for an objective, you run away to deny them a kill, they rush after you half way across the map…

Yeah. Any game that you have to spend a couple of days researching how to play before you can actually play is very, very gatekeeperish. It’s why LoL and DotA2ers hate HotS because it let’s the rabble play and enjoy their precious sport.

I doubt that’ll ever happen. LoL has a steep learning curve, which means that there’s an air of elitism that you’re not going to get with HotS. To them, HotS is too easy. The map objectives takes away from the “true skill” of the game, or something.
