Stephanie lives in Boston so she's talking about going into either the harbor or the beach off of Dorchester and "going fishing" … Mussels eat by filtering the water, it's just not always a great proposition if you're eating something too close to the city. Just like how people really shouldn't eat fish from lakes.

Louis is an amazingly attractive man. I was actively saddened when he said something about his wife in LCK. But there is just something about Nick… He's cute and he's humble and he's SO good at what he does. I do have a sneaking suspicion he's kind of short, though. Like 5'9. But while Louis looks like he belongs on

I have what the doctor described as a "general allergy to life" and beyond prescription meds, I also am supposed to take a claritin a day when it's allergy season (and sudafed when it's really bad). I'm here to say that generic claritin is just as good as on-brand claritin. Generic Sudafed is not as good as real

This is from Nov1 when it got its full season order, and says it was averaging a 1.9 L+7 in the demo. Not awful, not great. I think a week or two after that the ratings dropped off. They were at a 1.1 last week and a 1.2 But if people keep talking about it (and they will if they keep having great episodes like this)

I immediately rewatched No-Ho-Ho after watching this.

Oh I was agreeing! She charmed it with her alpha-ness and won his respect!

Eh, it's the first half of the first season of an ensemble comedy. There were some rough spots trying to get off the ground, but I've liked all of it. This was the very best of the best so far, but there have been very good ones leading up to it. It is worth it to watch so you can see how we got here.

I said it a couple of other places, but I'm fairly sure the awesome joke there was that she is such a type-A (so alpha) that he immediately respected her authority. As someone whose parents have filled the empty nest with a couple of German Shepherds that are pretty close to wolf-like if you don't get your Alpha

Yes, and I'm not someone who usually laughs out loud at TV. All of the many, many jokes worked for me.

Meg brought the jalapeno poppers!! She had the plate of them coming in from the bar when she arrived.

I think they sent the wolf on his merry wild way, and then the kids were sad because that was the only present they had gotten.

Oh my god, I was like "OF COURSE DIANE IS SO ALPHA SHE CAN TAME A WOLF JUST BY LOOKING AT IT." I loved it.

Completely disagree. I was laughing out loud the whole way through. The Goldbergs is cute, but this was hilarious.

But it's in "his city" so he's putting a lot of weight in being the successful NO chef in the NO season. I don't know how much it'll affect his ongoing life, but I think what we're seeing now is him feeling that pressure, and him not handling it very well.

Right!! And Justin jumping all the fuck over him "you know what you're making!?!?! Because I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE MAKING!!" When I'm in Chicago this weekend I want to find Carlos and just give him a hug.

And they did! Everyone got it. It was probably one of the best team-draws ever with their underdog attitude.

Mmm I feel like front of the house has gotten it before, but I don't remember when…

I don't think so… And everyone was just baffled at the term, or edited to look so.

I just read an interview where she was talking about having been a theater major in undergrad. As an actor (as like my second job) myself, I get that you need a sense of "welp, it is what it is and the show must go on" but good god, that's not the case when it's a restaurant. Front of the house means you're in charge

Happy she works at an airport restaurant instead of one of his real ones.
