I hear you. It's like it was expertly crafted…until it wasn't. What makes you feel let down (we already know my reasons)

I miss Lt. Stabler and his big old Easter Island head.

Yeah, I suppose I just really admired the 'big ideas' and then got hooked on the twilight zone-esque twists as they surfaced. But I really did think that I was being told a story that had a grand plan. What it turned out to be was a fantastic pitch to the network (and addicting first season), followed by the writing

I stand by my feelings of regret and general post-show disdain for LOST.

Getting hooked on LOST may be one of my greatest pop-culture regrets. I remember reading, early on, an interview with the show's creators and they were adamant that the mystery WOULDN'T culminate in a 'purgatory' sort of reveal. Except, several years later, it did.
I should have quit when my screenwriting pal in LA

Why has no one brought up Rufus Wainwright's version? That's the one in SHREK. It's not even Buckley's in that film…

Whilst I think Lorde seems like a good egg…and she's got some talent…I'm glad this dude picked this song to rag on. I just thought her album was overrated. I thought it was boring. Do better, Lorde!

Loved the Scandal sketch. Also, didn't think the rap sketch went on too long. Fave line of the night MIGHT be Aidy Bryant's, "My flute amp!". Overall a decent episode. Question: Who is head writer nowadays anyway?
Further comment: Not a fan of the Bennett/Mooney vids…yet at least. Always suprised when the reviewer

A- Laughed out loud lots and was not as annoyed by the celeb guest stars as the reviewer. Fave bit? Maybe Annie snarling 'everything'. Or Dean saying that Bowie was a 'macho rock star'. I love the dean.

I assume that we're supposed to infer maybe levels of Catholicism and/or possible issues/concerns that might come along with being a recent immigrant in America (legal or otherwise). I didn't read it as a TOTALLY unnecessary detail.

I THOUGHT this looked like it would suck a butt. Thanks for confirming my instincts. Will avoid.

yeah, it's probably considered to have crossover appeal I guess.

You guys, don't get mad. I know she's only a kid. And maybe she's got a hint of something special…but I mostly think the Lorde album is super boring. Remember, I SAID 'DON'T GET MAD AT ME!

Lisa Frank! Everything looked so fruit juicy.

Aw sassafrass. When I was 14 10 bucks bought me one school lunch, 2 comic books and one Richie Valens record. Nothing more.

oh, 80085

Driver! Pull away from this peasant! I don't like the way he's looking at my Trapper Keeper.

Of course! You can thank me for the success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I hear what you're saying, for serious. But my point isn't that teenagers shouldn't have their voices heard or fuel their own pop culture…but that they dictate things on a much larger scale then they used to…and I think you can attribute this

Right on. Right on with most of this. It is annoying just how much of the success of any of our pop culture is determined by what tweens anoint as worthy. You know what we need?  Smaller allowances. I got ten bucks a week when I was growing up. And I had to decide how to spend it because it wasn't going to get topped

Guys! Guys. Wait…and I'm being serious here. Brandon Routh for Batman? I think he could do it.
A. High level of handsomeness
B. It's not HIS fault that Superman Returns didn't do so well.
C. Murica!
