I’m guessing it’s this. If you want a job, a drivers license, a car, college whatever, you need a social security number and a birth certificate. If hers were forgeries or stolen identity then she would find out very quickly and now her mother/kidnapper has to come up with answers. This poor young woman is going to

This happened with an 18 yo young man recently and it was revealed that he had trouble when applying for financial aid for college with his ssn that the kidnapper had forged.

Maybe she didn’t have a birth certificate or social security number? You can get through school without those things, but when you’re 18 and getting ready for college or a job it’d start being a real problem, and it’s hard for a kidnapper to explain away. That’s what made Carlina White suspicious.

I’ve been following this story, and I can’t imagine what this poor girl is going through. And her parents must have gone through hell the last 18 years. I hope they can reconnect and form a family, but wow. There’s no getting over this.

The news showed the girl sobbing at the police station and crying for her mother. Poor girl, this must be so traumatizing.

On a serious note, how do you psychologically repatriate a kidnapped child with her biological parents?

Agreed! Yep, sorry, I can’t get my head around eating a placenta. It’d be like sucking on my used tampon.

I assume the argument is that placenta is a by-product of birth? Couldn’t you then argue that milk is also a by-product of birth? I have no dog in the fight - I eat meat, and try to do it responsibly. Just an interesting point of discussion. I’ve never pondered the vegetarian/vegan status of placenta.

Trick question. It’s not food, it’s medical waste.

...In that case, eating human placenta, which was just going to plop out and exist anyway, shouldn’t disturb that practice.

Let’s make a Liz Taylor movie starring Channing happen! I have no idea how but I’m totally for this idea.

I said it before, but this looks a lot like Drunk History minus the host, and they cast the historical stories with whoever shows up, to great comic effect. Will Ferrell as Abraham Lincoln? Sure. Aubrey Plaza as Aaron Burr? Great! John Cho as William Shakespeare? Why Not!

We need some Viva Las Vegas about now. Another pick for Michael is Janelle Monae. And she can act.

That was my first thought! ‘Hey, I want to see Stockard Channing!’ I feel cheated. Maybe they could make it an online only episode.

Or Helena Bonham Carter, who actually did a pretty good interpretation of the Burton years.

The show looks good, and I’m bummed I won’t get to see this episode.

It took me like a minute to figure out who it was in the trailer because she looked SO much like Liz Taylor.

But is this really a “biopic”? It seems like it’s a goofy show that doesn’t purport to be a serious take on the deep inner life and struggles of MJ.

I would be first in line for a Stockard Channing Liz Taylor movie.

When they first announced this film, they revealed who would be playing Michael and people were legit upset. Why didn’t they just recast then? Now I’ll never get to see Stockard Channing as Elizabeth Taylor. I don’t deserve this.
