I was going to say that there was The Truth About Charlie, a remake of Charade with Marky Mark and Thandie Newton, but apparently it came out 16 years ago.

Clark Gable isn’t bad at all. (I might be a little biased because my dad looked a wee bit like Gable, especially in GWTW.)

Ugh...as someone raised in Louisiana during the Edwin Edwards era, I declare Bobby Jindal is the worst.

I share mine with Prince Philip. It’s not that exciting.

I loved Voyagers! when I was a kid. It got me interested in history, and I liked how they tied in visiting the public library to learn more at the end. Too bad it only lasted one season.

I totally agree with you, but I also understand the difficulty of getting to have a face-to-face discussion with US Reps and Senators. My US Rep refuses to have in-person town hall meetings. He rarely visits or meets with constituents in my city. I don’t have the time to travel to DC or his hometown constituent

I don’t think a two-parter and a cliffhanger are the same thing. To me, a two-parter is a story that’s continued over two episode. A cliffhanger can be a small bit at the end of one episode to the next, but that the stories themselves stand alone.

Thanks for providing more information for others as I didn’t take the time to provide the specific stats. I’ve worked in the cancer public health field (non-profit and government) for almost 20 years, so I’m knowledgable about HPV and cancer. I remember when the HPV vaccinations came out and have helped with

Thanks for sharing. I wasn’t aware of the tweet, so I understand the context of your post now.

This is a good story about why advocating for yourself as a patient is a important, but she died of cervical cancer, not HPV cancer (which isn’t a type of cancer). While HPV infections are a risk factor for cervical cancer, not all cervical cancers are associated with HPV. I read the article, and I didn’t see anything

Charles Kimbrough is still alive. From what I’ve seen online, Jim Dial will be back as a recurring character.

I used to think that if I had someone to cook all my meals and a trainer to come to my home gym to tailor exercises for me, I could be thin. Oprah proves this theory wrong.

I’ve been to several different WW groups over the past 20 years. In my experience, there are a lot of bad WW leaders who don’t follow WW guidelines and promote bad eating habits. Some of the worst let WW members lead the conversation and hold her their unhealthy relationships with food as examples of what other

I always heard that smoothies (and soups and juires) aren’t 0 points because the blending/pureeing/juicing breaks down the insoluble fiber. The calories might still be the same, but the way the body metabolizes with fiber vs without fiber is different. Most of what I’ve read the past few years is that all calories

When I was in high school, I volunteered at the local Democratic party campaign office (basically covering all Democrat candidates on the ballot). The incumbent was a Democrat, and his brother was running against him as a Republican. (The Democrat won.)

Except so many people don’t leave voicemail messages anymore. And I’m not talking about salesmen. I know lots of people who don’t leave messages for their friends and family. They just expect them to call back based on caller ID, or they’ll try calling again later.

Growing up in southwest Louisiana, tracking hurricanes was one of my favorite summer activities (behind swimming at the neighborhood pool and participating in the library summer reading program). I remember using the hurricane tracking map that came in the phone book as well as those given out at the grocery store.

The only phone numbers I know now are my own and those of my childhood friends’ parents (as long as they still have the same landline number they had 30 years ago).

The thing I learned about Geoffrey Owens that no one seems to be talking about is that his father was Major Owens, a prominent member of the Democratic Party and US Rep from New York. I’m sure it’s merely coincidence, but is it really surprising that Fox News would shame the son of a black congressman?

This is how I always know who did it on TV procedurals. It’s almost always an actor who I recognize as being a secondary or tertiary character from another show. For example, if Professor Lasky from Saved by the Bell: The College Years is on a crime show, he did it.
