So, as a trans woman, unless I’m able to pass I don’t count? Is that it? Because you basically just called non-passing trans women icky and that’s incredibly shitty. You know it’s hard enough looking at my body and face every day and wondering if I will ever be able to pass or actually look attractive and feeling

I like your rabbi.

I apologize for the hostility. I have a defensive reaction sometimes when these types of discussions come up because I'm used to seeing people trying to invalidate who I am as a person. It gets very frustrating and very hurtful, though I understand that wasn't your intention and, again, I apologize.

This. It's insulting, is what it is. And it's incredibly ignorant. The idea that I don't have to change my body at all, why can't I just be happy having the body I have and just wearing a dress is such a tired and incorrect argument.

Wow. You really, really don't get it.

And there are women born with XY chromosomes. The whole "you're not really a woman/man because of your chromosomes" argument is incredibly ignorant and cissexist.

Um...as a transgender woman I can tell you that regardless of arbitrary gender rules my body would still feel wrong for me. I really get irritated when people outright dismiss the intense dysphoria and pain that comes from being in the wrong body, as if that isn't a huge part of this for most trans people.

Also, GRS

I actually just checked that.

According to Entertainment Tonight's website we were at 33 before these two newest accusers. So 35 women have now come forward. 35. Holy Jesus.

Edit

Um...trans people are not crossdressers. Please get your facts straight.

Secondly, we STILL don't know exactly what happened, so how about waiting for the facts before jumping to conclusions?

Thirdly, being a bigot certainly doesn't count in your favor.

Heh...I've been depressed my whole life (trying very hard to get out of it now) and I have to say, for me, not believing in a god is actually much more comforting than the idea of there being one. Especially the idea that there's a being that controls our destiny (I recognize that not all people who believe in God

"Shows lack of character."

THE IRONY.

I love when cis people try to minimize the problems that they will never understand or experience. Please learn some empathy. Seriously.

Well, as an actual trans person who is actually part of the trans community, I don't appreciate your ignorant stereotyping of trans people based on a few people you know. Also, you are incredibly ignorant if you think that trans violence is not a serious issue. Please educate yourself before spouting off with

"Yes. And being forced to hold your urine for 8 hours because you are terrified of the fallout of going into a public stall, well, if you haven't experienced it, then you don't know what you're talking about."

This.

It's easy for people who have never been there to say it's not a big deal. But some of us actually

Um...of all LGBTQ homicides committed in 2012, 53% of them were against trans people. Over HALF of all homicides committed against our community was against trans people. Yes, we are at higher risk. (source: http://www.glaad.org/blog/ncavp-rep…)

Of course, common sense would tell you that, too. Do you not know any

You're right, people being assaulted or murdered for just trying to use the bathroom isn't a big deal. I mean, if they didn't want to be killed why did they even leave the house?! I mean, needing to use the bathroom is SUCH a first world problem. Hold it in, trans people! You aren't allowed to use the bathroom in

We have two single person restrooms at work, one for men and one for women. I see woman going in the men's room all the time but I have never, not once, seen a guy go in the women's restroom. For some reason there's apparently an unwritten rule that it's ok for the women at my job to do that but not for the men.

Which

As a trans woman, I really appreciate that TheProdigalMinstrel apparently doesn't give a fuck that I'm murdered for simply trying to use the bathroom.

Not to be super nitpicky here (I really am trying not to be, but this bugged me) but I am pretty certain trans women can have clitoral and vaginal orgasms. I don't recall seeing that specific question addressed, but I know many trans women are capable of orgasms and post op trans women have that equipment so they
