I liked Kevin Smith’s story about wanting to be on Law and Order, and L&O asked if he wanted to play the killer (because that’s what the big stars do) and he said instead of that (because obviously he would be the killer), he wanted to be “the guy that leads them to the guy that leads them to the guy”.

Well Criminal Intent was a bit like Columbo, in as much as we often knew who the murderer was, but not how they would be caught and why they  did it. I actually love Criminal Intent. It was unique among the Law and Order franchise.

I could have sworn there was some creepy backstage Wiggles drama but I looked and only found that the new Yellow and Purple Wiggle were married and got divorced.  And one of them has a bunch of tattoo.  But other then that they are clean....to clean

Carpenter has been saying Whedon abused her and fired her for getting pregnant for at least a decade.

Honestly, Black Cauldron seems ripe for a live action remake.

Remained silent how? She was one of the witnesses during the investigation.

I just have a vauge sense that the world it’s set in seemed to mean/cruel to me.

Based on what happened here and more disturbingly to The Dark Is Rising, I am fine with no one attempting to adapt awesome 70s Welsh YA fantasy ever again. The books stand on their own, meddlers can only make things worse.

There’s so many intriguing bits of "what if" potential in that film. A shame that the film never really gels.

Are you dumb enough to actually expect a difficult, contentious and politically charged question to be included in the always light and brief “11 Questions” feature, or could you just not think of any other way to bring up the fact that he has expressed bad views?

I had to look at the list of Disney movies to get “The Evil Bonehead”.

I love Basil's psychotic expression as he laughs and shouts "WE'LL SET THE TRAP OFF NOW!". Poor Dawson.

Vincent Price is having a ball in this film.  You can just tell he enjoyed every second of it.  Honestly its infectious, worth it for him alone.

I bet all of those friends and relatives would finally have closure, if only the AVClub decided to grill him on it in this interview.

When you’re a “controversial” artist, you have two paths in front of you.

1. Either you tone it down, but you have enough charisma and likability that people just wanna keep you around in various capacities. Alice entered this realm. So did Ozzy and Snoop Dogg.

2. You double-down on the controversial elements so hard

Suggesting that voting for Bush 20 years ago makes one such an unforgivable monster that they should have to answer for it in any interview they ever do, is an unbelievably sophomoric world view.

Can’t say I’ve listened to much of his music, but I am so impressed by how he’s built himself into this guy everyone likes over the years. He’s a vampiric goth rock star kinda thing, but intelligent, but also extremely nice, he plays golf, he isn’t problematic in the slightest, he just comes across as a good person.

At least the golden calf was (allegedly) made with real gold, unlike this waste of fiberglass.

I was hoping for smiting and statues of salt.
