I liked the bit of cleverness they had in 3, where the closing scene from 2 turns out to be part of the action in the 3rd movie, rather than just some clever throw-away bit.  Not sure I watched the other ones, though.

I get the joke you’re going for, but a solid half of the nominees generally wear dresses, sometimes see through ones, so I don’t know that this headline works so well. For a second I thought they were actually saying people couldn’t wear sheers this year or something, and that this was actually about nudity.

I think being the liberal oasis in Texas only gets you so far - it’s still Texas, and it’s probably only liberal in comparison.  At least, that’s what I got from my brief time living in Boulder, CO.

Yeah, it’s a tough needle to thread - having to establish that yes, what those guys did was bad, but they weren’t the only jerks in this particular scenario. Maybe by saying “you seem really upset about this, but I didn’t actually think you actually liked him that much, based on how you treated/talked about him”.
