I legit guffawed out loud at that part. How completely out of touch with the world is this guy? Is he Mr Burns, stuck in the 1890s?

My husband is a “member” of the KofC. His contribution is to keep his life insurance policy up to date, that’s about it. That’s the part I was like “the hell?”

It’s like saying “he’s a member of the Chamber of Commerce, for Christ sake!!” Or “he’s in Rotary, dammit!!” Totally meaningless.

Came for this. Leaving happy.

Yup. 20 week loss here. I remember reading/hearing that he was about the size of an orange in or around that time, so when I miscarried in the bathroom in the middle if the night distinctly I recall thinking that “he certainly didn’t look like an orange”.

Yeahhhh, and the real ones are WAY less cute than that too. I miscarried at almost 17 weeks and they wanted me to take pictures with it. No thanks. I’d rather try and remember my kid as the cute potential baby rather than the poor, sad, red, thing it really ended up being.

I’m morbidly fascinated by that. It’s actually better than the ones a lot of the anti choice people use because the feti in the kit are more accurate in that the early ones look like aliens/ generic mammal feti rather than eraser sized full-term babies.

That is 100% the one at my pregnancy clinic, but like I posted above, my experience was different because I have chosen to keep my pregnancy. I'm in So Cal.

Next year:

My awesome lesbian friend stole a giant bag of plastic fetuses from the pro-life people’s booth at the county fair (this is Georgia, they have that here) she and her girlfriend used them as party favors at their halloween party “make sure you grab some fetuses before you leave.”

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IS THAT REALLY IT?

Yeah, I was thinking that the “life changing” part of that statement could be a very positive thing as far as many women in that situation are experiencing.

“Abortion is not just a simple medical procedure,” it read. “For many women, it is a life-changing event with significant physical, emotional and spiritual consequences. Most women who struggle with past abortions say that they wish they had been told all of the facts about abortion.”

By definition the process isn’t reversible. We’ve really got to stop letting politicians who don’t understand biology/medicine make these decisions.

“I opened a velvet box on the table that appeared as though it contained jewelry; rather, it contained a collection of small plastic fetuses.”

Considering Arizona just passed a law requiring that doctors tell patients who are considering a medical abortion that the procedure is reversible, I’m not surprised there is no oversight. It seems to me that politicians very much want women to be lied to about abortion.

I was so confused by that I wondered how “tubally pregnant” could somehow be a good thing?

The fact that this is legal is mind blowing. I’m a medical professional and if I lied like this to my patients, my license would probably (hopefully!) be revoked. How is their no state agency oversight?

“So… you’re still abortion-minded, even if you happen to be tubally pregnant?” she asked.
