actually, the CEO who had helped the company really grow jumped ship a few months ago, and it's becuase he saw the writing on the wall. Most likely, investors and share holders felt nervous about moving the portfolio from a cash cow (no matter how narrow its vision was) to a more investment heavy area of revenue

Comically enough, I made it all the way to the end of FFXIII and could only stomach the first 5 or 6 hours of FXIII-2. I wonder why that was? I mean, the time travel bit seemed a bit too fractured for me. While FXIII was a convoluted tale of unnecessary Proper Nouns, it still was a relatively straight forward tale of

We're talking about a game company who's future rests upon the shoulders of this franchise. It is the only franchise that they own that they can make large scale games for and know that they will make their money back (sorry Castlevania, but you just don't bring in the big bucks like Metal Gear does).

Curious, is the world map set up a lot like Xillia? I was hoping we would get something more on the scale of Vesparia in terms of its world layout or world map. I didn't like how Xillia felt almost on rails since there was open space that really directed me a single direction.

Its funny, as much as I was disappointed by the experience of playing Final Fantasy XIII, I still find the look and vibe of the game compelling! I also did enjoy the game past hour 20 when the battle system actually opened up. It really wasn't the most terrible thing in the world.

Back in the day, the amount of time between system announcement and release was years. Nintendo plays the console business much like it is still the mid-90's (arrogance of top dog syndrome and all). I guarantee that this game system is much further off than Zelda.

That's my thing about mobile gaming in any form: why the hell ain't I just playing my 3DS or Vita?!

I've lost many hours to this game today. It will probably be pretty much happen again tomorrow. Work be damned.

I prefer it made of scissors (COMMENCE DUB STEP!)

The funny thing is, you use a muted color palette, have conversational, yet spaced out dialogue, and make EVERY angle divisible by 45 degrees, and you've got a Wes Anderson movie.

This is just a rant about how the shit your kids like is different than the shit you think they should like. Not going on the record that Minecraft is great, or anything, but I'm also not going to say that it blows as hard as this mother is saying. I don't know, its dumb, but so are comic books, John Hughes movies and

What about Space Station Silicon Vally?

Its funny you say that you don't care about Framerate, cause WiiU has some of the most sturdy framerates of all!

I personally think that his game design choices brought the series of FF to a grinding halt. He is certainly talented and I enjoy his other projects, but the current director is the kinda guy who just gets shit done and quite well!

it's like playing on a PC. If you're willing to pay extra for the newest stuff, you'll have the best experience. There's nothing wrong with Nintendo trying to get more horsepower out of a new machine. Luckily, the game isn't gimped on the older system, just not as flashy. Nothing wrong with that, really.

Now, if only someone could recreate the Espers from FF VI and make them 3D, I could die happy.

I don't think people believe they are saving money at all. It seems to me that people believe they're getting a chance to play games they normally wouldn't at a reasonable price.

Jesus! I forgot how terrifying that movie is on an audible level! And how bizarre it looked when all those tags fell out of Jack Nicholson's mouth!

I feel like I'm gonna catch hell for this on Kotaku, but why couldn't they make a Mac version of this as well?!

I was by no means saying they were the same worlds. And neither was the OP. We were just merely stating that we believe they were reused assets.
