I haven’t cringed that severely since Season 1 of The Office

You should follow this up with an article about used car leasing. The issue with this transaction is that the leasing company is taking on a VERY hefty portion of the risk involved, hence the high interest rate. Did the sender give you any info on their credit history? That’s obviously a contributory factor,

In-flight movie must’ve been FnF3: Tokyo Drift.

I sold the first revival FIAT in my market in the Midwest in 2011. I outsold entire dealerships by myself. I was selected to participate in CJDRF (CJDRFAR?? too long an acronym now) pilot training programs to direct future training for new dealer staff. I personally chauffeured a client in a Challenger SRT-8 in the

Well if you look up publicly available information for Mr. Anthony Buzbee, you’ll find that he lives at 1722 River Oaks Blvd. Punch that into Harris County Appraisal District’s search tool and you’ll find a large, annoying page full of codes. The one you’ll want to look up is the Land Use Code, which for this property

Two things. First, more important to the content of the argument, is whether a vehicle that cannot be registered is allowed on public roads. In Ohio, that would not be allowed, and the city could bring in the most expensive 18-wheel tow vehicle possible and bill the owner for the cost of removing his illegally parked

That’s not a sinkhole, that’s an exclusive RR option, the Security Divot. For when too many peons’ eyes are affixed to your visage, or RR determines that the Spirit of Ecstasy’s self-hiding mechanism is insufficient protection from potential theft.

It’s a daily challenge. It’s insane, you never know what sort of crazy story you’ll have to tell at the end of the day, but lawyers, cops, and car salespeople always seem to have the best stories, and they deal with more crazy than anyone else on a daily basis.

- Shoppers do not deserve to get lied to simply by shopping for the best price. This is not unique to car buying.

True, better not buy a car ever.

I didn’t say anyone DESERVED to get lied to, you incorrectly inferred that. I’m saying it’s a hazard of dealing with dealers that are priced far below market. If those advertising tactics didn’t work, no one would do it, yet people continue to do business with these bottom feeders. This is not groundbreaking news.

When you’re chasing the lowest possible price, you’re gonna swim with the bottom feeders. Can’t get mad when you find out that you’ve encountered a bottom feeder IMO.

Not saying they deserve anyone’s business, nor that this is the right way of advertising, but it is what it is.

Agreed, calling it a recon fee is BS. I wish they’d just call it a “Used car fee” or a “ad fee.” Feels less dishonest, even if it’s totally opaque.

I know what you mean. It isn’t advertised in good faith and that’s the main point, but my point is more about the market. I wouldn’t recommend buying from that dealer, but sometimes the deal really is screamin’ even if their not transparent.

Unless you ask up front/early on what their fees are. I agree, it’s not the best way to do business and people shouldn’t reward dealers like this by buying from them.

They can call the fees whatever the hell they want for all I care, how does $37.6k OTD compare to other examples with similar equipment and miles?

All those words, yet all you had to write was “BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT”

“By being a racing driver you are under risk all the time. By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, we are competing to win. And the main motivation to all of us is to compete for victory,

The (Four) Strokes (yes I know there are five of them). Bonus points because their drummer’s named Fabrizio Moretti, and the Moretti Motor Company made some epic looking FIATs back in the day.

I think the original Audi TT deserves an honorable mention here for actually being a manufacturer-designated safety recall for its small, dumb wing.
