As a fellow sci-fi illustrator (albeit a much worse one), while I’m drawn to his unique subject matter, his ability to paint the flat light of a dreary cloudy cold day and it’s effect on color floors me. My stuff always looks too garish and I aspire to be half as good with light as this dude.

Fascinating. I had the opposite reaction. Glover was absolutely the highlight of this film for me and Han was meh at best.

I’m right there with you on this one Kasama, I was geeking out the whole way through :) From L3 getting put into the Falcon (explaining the quirky way it communicates), seeing the Maw (even if it wasn’t quite as impressive as the EU version), the Kessel Run, the Darth Maul tie in.... I love it.
