Not a fan of Sparrow. I want to like it but it still doesn't have a good threaded view of messages since the threaded views only show the sender (which is usually either you or the other person so nearly useless info) and no snippet of the message like Gmail does.

Rdio is not available in my country so not much choice there. Fuck media companies and their ridiculous country specific deals on internet content.

To be honest the Breitling Navitimer copy I have is probably closer to the real thing than the one in the article. It's easy to see in the picture that the bezel seems to be smaller, it's a bit different shape, the smaller knobs are an obvious sign and the wrong color on the dial. By comparison the only things on my

I've also gotten a refund from an app purchased via the Mac App Store. But seriously, would it be THAT difficult to just offer a proper trial option where you could try an app for say, an hour and then get a refund if it doesn't work as expected or is crappy?

Every meeting should have a bullshit bingo and that list plastered on the wall.

I use a fan controller because I felt SpeedFan or BIOS fan settings didn't do a very good job. I use a watercooled system so I barely have to have the fans on and for that the fan controller is perfect for finding that point where it's still totally quiet but has the fans blowing.

Censoring swearing makes me want to swear even more.

Both. I hate the HTC naming where everything is Epic or Awesome or Magnifico yet the product itself is just yet another Android phone with a low res but big screen, running an old version of the OS. The US name for the Samsung Galaxy S is Samsung Captivate I think? Really, where did they fuck that up. Galaxy S is at

I don't think the mouse DPI matters much. Seems more of a marketing gimmick these days because I sure as hell can't tell any difference between the current ones and the old ones. I've been a graphics designer and precision was not an issue (of course I used a Wacom mostly but sometimes the mouse is better for pixel

The refresh rate is quite wrong. The displays themselves refresh at 60Hz still, the 120Hz or 240Hz thing simply adds generated frames in between causing for a smoother motion that makes films look like soap operas. Afaik HDMI used by most devices isn't even capable of pushing refresh rates beyond 60Hz from devices.

They seem to be working now but didn't when I read this article. In any case their positioning is crap. I've got a 2560x1440 display here with the browser spanning nearly all height and about half the width. The arrows should be close to the image itself, even if they move around a bit as you swap them.

Great stuff, but could you please get an image box plugin that actually let's you switch between the expanded images?

Widgetblock for Chrome is also good for getting rid of all those zillions of social networking service buttons and widgets. Even LifeHacker looks much cleaner without that stupid Facebook face box cluttering the layout.

Great news. I recently filed a feature request for something like this because I need a mouse gestures extension on Mac but not on Windows (since it has a globally working mouse gesture software) and with sync enabled the mouse gestures extension kept getting enabled on my Windows machine too.

This is true, back when most monitors were CRTs the digital to analog converters mattered. At the time Matrox had the best ones with ATI second. It mostly mattered at higher resolutions on the biggest monitors.

Just want to point out that I found Gmail Growl for Windows very annoying. It asks for donations more often than I get email. I understand the developer wanting something back but seriously, that's not the way to get it.

The main problem is that Flash is used for all the wrong things. It's good for things like browser games but not for whole websites, not for doing some fancy looking navigation and not that good for video either. Ever read "funniest videos" thread on a forum? The amount of Flash plugin instances loaded can make lesser

Could you stop using that raccoon eyed tart as your stock photo? It's annoying.

I was talking about program installation routine. The constant next-next-next-next-finish is pretty annoying and I've met plenty of newbie users who have been totally scared about all the questions it tends to ask.

Where Windows primarily fails is ease of use. Lots of things are just not made easy to do or even obvious. The installation routine is awful, it causes lots of confusion in inexperienced users (what do I click now, can I click that?) and is slow and awkward for everyone else. Keyboard shortcuts are annoying and not
