I think Leslie getting recalled in season 6 was also part of this criticism that the show gives Leslie everything she wants.

I agree with your love for season 4 and I would argue that season 5 and 6 also had clearly defined themes running through them, if not a central plot pusher like the council seat.

Well the Ann/Leslie friendship started out as one of the key elements of the show but as it evolved into a workplace/government comedy, it became more about bureaucrats and the show couldn't find too much for Ann to do after all that. I think the move to the public health department came a little late and I do think

I don't think this episode was as bad as you made it out to be. While a lot of this was standard sitcommy stuff, I think the show has done well to deepen all the characters, so it's still fun to see. What I liked also about the battle between Dre and Rainbow is that they both are crazy and intense. Too many shows have

I read this article a while back about how Amy Poehler's comedy is one of collaboration. While of course she isn't the creator of the show you can see the difference in the way this show and 30 Rock approaches female relationships. In 30 Rock (which for the record I love), Liz is pretty much a loner who's

I'm going to miss this show so so much. This episode was like a list of all the things Parks is good at and few shows can emulate (utterly sweet character interactions, encapsulation of family history in a couple of seconds). It's also the show's fourth perfect wedding in a row (fifth if you count Ron and Tammy's).

Ignatiy's baby came out of the womb with a handful of jellybeans in its fist.

I cracked the biggest grin when I saw Jane Krakowski and she already made me laugh with her few seconds of footage. I don't care if she's playing another version of Jenna Maroney, I will watch the show for her.

That movie really deserves way more love, as do all the actors. That entire cast is fantastic.

Aniston was famous and she got dumped. There's a difference.

I think it's very much in keeping with Leslie. She's extremely caring towards her friends but she's also slavishly devoted to her job and when the two clash, it's very possible her job will come first. That's why that final scene was so wonderful. Leslie is taking time out from her job to go out with her friend.

I knew you (rather your avatar) looked familiar. And I honestly wonder about the overlap between readerships at least nowadays. I think most of the AV Club commenters are intelligent and usually very funny. I don't remember that being the case with Slashfilm for a long time. I used to be a regular reader of their

Yeah I agree. She didn't have much to do in We're the Millers but she was fantastic in Horrible Bosses.

Look I love you like a brother. But right now I hate you. Like my actual brother, Levandrious, who I hate.

I guess the cost of new credits must come from getting everyone to sign off on them (actors, producers, executives, the network, etc.) not the actual man-power creating them, because I can't imagine that being too expensive.

The fact that Offerman has not been nominated for the show is utter bullshit. I somehow hope he ends up getting a nomination for the last season but that would be giving too much credit to the Emmys.

Yeah. It would have been really cool to have a new opening credits but I guess it's probably too much money to spend on a television show that's on its last season.

What a wonderful wonderful set of episodes. I don't think you gave enough credit to the first one. It was very funny and features one of my favourite aspects of the show - Pawnee's bizarre history.

I thought these episodes were fantastic. I honestly don't know if these episodes have to be 'vital' because I view this as a goodbye season. And I think on top of being hilarious, there really were a lot of good character bits. Leslie and Ron's ideological tug of war coming back in focus. April being satisfied with

I love how the comical it is for about 95% of its pages and then it takes a strangely moving turn at the end. For most of the book you're mostly laughing at Ignatius and then that ending happens where he both surprises you but it's tragic as well. It's definitely one of my favourite books.
