According to the terms presented in the contract Netflix offered Mo’Nique, it would own the copyright of the program and control all exhibition rights.

Frequently the rights will revert to the performer after a certain period. It’s not the craziest bit of hard ball in the contract, IMO that’s the fact that she’s locked in for two specials, but it’s another nail in the coffin of the idea that Netflix made a reasonable offer.
