To be fair, the same could be said of GRRM for all the evidence we have of his ability to deliver an ending.

Man, if this was the best scene in the movie then I REALLY didn’t miss out on anything by skipping this.
Guess that depends on who you are as a gamer. I’ve played Surviving Mars, The Outer Worlds, Observation, No Man’s Sky, Mechwarrior 5, Crackdown 3, Dead Cells, Void Bastards, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, The Long Dark, Cities: Skylines, West of Dead, Halo: Spartan Assault, and Pandemic: The Board Game on both…
“The Most Dangerous Short Circuit”
Yes.
Luckily, TikTok’s algorithm is so good that I am in almost* zero danger of running across any videos that are just white girls dancing. I’m on, like, lesbian witch horticulturist BLM TikTok now.
Re: Stassie Baby updates:
You didn’t spit after mentioning Hillsfar. UNCLEAN! UNCLEAN!
Its a relic of its time and was overshadowed very quickly by superior productions. However, it does show how tone can improve a product. While it wasn’t the best film by a LONG SHOT it better fit the tone of the Fantastic Four than Tranks god awful Fan4stick. Ya its juvinile, ya they got Doom wrong, ya it looks cheap…
Yeah, but then the authors sort of try to have it both ways. They set it up that the armor was designed to be titillating and appear impractical, and tough as nails Alias (ugh, that name) finds it quite ridiculous. But turns out the armor is also magically enchanted and actually offers better protection than any other…
We played the heck out of the games way back when, but I never read the books. I miss those games occasionally, but I tried playing them again in DOSBox awhile back and it turns out they were a total slog. I think we only put up with them because we loved Bard’s Tale style RPGs and having a computer to play games on…
I only played the games. Pool of Radiance through Pools of Darkness, on a C64 no less. It was a fantastic introduction to D&D but all anyone talks about is NWN and Baldur’s Gate.
Eh, neither console is a compelling upgrade yet. They’re going to pricey (as new consoles always are), the games are going to be pricier, the graphical enhancements are at best fine, and unless you really hate load times, you’ll still getting the same kind of gameplay and design you’ve been getting for 15 years.
This would be awesome and sell like crap.
Every time I see more about this game my need grows mightier.
Tartakovski’s Clone Wars really ought to be reinstated to canon. Not just because it was the best bit of prequel-era material, but also because a coupla threads in Filoni’s Clone Wars were explicit continuations - Ventress in particular.
In my head canon, Rex was part of this squad and his (r)exemplary valor during the battle and subsequent rescue of the Jedi on Hypori led to him being promoted to Captain.
Yes, yes, YES! I’m still amazed at how many of my fellow Star Wars nerds have never experienced the greatness of Tartkovsy’s series. I personally introduced two people to it this year alone.
Everyone who was planning on buying a used one in 5 years is so upset!
But seriously, I did read. Was just thinking of this gif the whole time. Long, but well informed and INTERESTING article. Well done!
