Awesome. Lots of obscure Marvel characters in the big group shot. Super Adaptoid, Molecule Man, Clea, the Wizard, Night Thrasher- those are some dedicated Marvel fans. Lots of Black Cats and Lokis. And I love the teams- Guardians of the Galaxy (with Groot!) and Shocker, Electro and Scorpion. Great stuff.

Some of my favorite scenes are when she bluntly (but insightfully) summarizes someone's personality or actions with no value judgment attached. It's great when Miles overhears her talking to Aral about him.

I loved this series when it was coming out. And if you really want to stay true to the books there would be the chance the character would die halfway through the tutorial level and you'd have to start over.

Come on, you know all the electricity can suddenly turn off at any moment but you don't try to prepare for it even a little bit?

One of the best things about Aral and Cordelia is that she recognizes that he's bisexual with a slight preference for males, but since his culture discourages homosexual relationships he suppressed that. The fact that she was a badass space explorer/starship captain made her perfect for him.

I remember riding my bike to the laundromat to play Street Fighter and being amazed the first time I saw somebody launch a fireball. It was incredible, hearing rumors about these secret special moves and then begging people to teach you how to do it, like joining an exclusive club.

Luther is great. The relationship between Luther and Alice is fantastic; Elba and Wilson are amazing together on screen.

Well, SHIELD isn't really about superheroes, is it? It's a high-tech superspy organization kind of like James Bond's fictional MI-6 or the spy organization in ABC's Alias. Superheroes are secondary to their mission.

I've got no problem with a Justice League movie falling apart at this stage. Let them have one or two good movies that aren't about Batman or Superman and maybe then you can talk about having a Justice League.

Black Panther/Storm always felt like the editors were thinking "hey, they're both African, they should get married." Up until their courtship began they'd never any significant interactions.

Guardians of the Galaxy got pretty weird, particularly in the classic version, but Marvel doesn't get much weirder than Jack Kirby's Thor. Except for maybe classic Dr. Strange.

The bad guys have guns in the trailer. So... yeah, lots of inconsistencies. I'll watch the pilot. If it doesn't make me bang my head against a wall I'll probably stick with it for a couple of episodes to see if it goes anywhere.
