I can't really sum it up in a quote, but my mother decided one time to google porn, because she "wanted to see what the security was like these days". I'm not sure which was funnier, listening to her try to describe what she found without using any dirty words, or listening to her repeatedly reassuring us over and

Am I the only one who didn't read this article as jezebel getting upset about an all male school, but about how the majority of the people in charge of that school voted to change it and now two people are asking a judge to step in and tell them they can't run their own private school? I mean, I thought that's what

I think the point is that a majority vote decided they didn't want to only admit men anymore, and now two people are asking a judge to stop them.

For some reason the phrase "the sex" always makes me giggle like I'm 12.

Right there with you. Also Natasha and Clint. And Tony and Bruce. And Captain and everyone.

I've thought Matthew Fox was a tool since his Men's Magazine interview while Lost was still running where he bragged about showing up to work so hungover he threw up in the water they were filming in, and how he likes to get people drunk and make them do things they wouldn't normally do. The impression I've gotten

Does anyone have any good urban fantasy series they could recommend? I have a really hard time finding ones that don't give me a feminist rage boner.

Ugh, I get the worst phone anxiety. All I can suggest is doing your best to keep your mind on other things? The more you dwell, the more freaked out you get. Well, I do. That never helps.

So the Avengers was awesome, I bought an awesome new laptop and still have plenty of money in savings (yay having a grown up job!), and last night's Nikita included a scene that I've been waiting for pretty much the whole season. So basically, best weekend ever so far.

Obligatory "I just saw the Avengers and it was AWESOME!" thread.

Pop/energy drinks are one vice I thankfully never had a problem with. Can't stand fizz, and the lemon lime drinks are the only ones that I can stand that taste of anyway.

I bought a big load of groceries tonight. So many I had trouble carrying it all home. Some shredded cheese and ranch dressing were the only things not fruits or vegetables. I am attempting to improve my nutrition. I had planned to treat myself to a bag of potato chips, which I haven't bought in a long long time, but

My cat is currently attacking her own tail all over the sofa. I'd love to get some bedroom eyes from her.

You should check it out! The first half of season 1 is OK, with a few really good eps. It's not that it's bad, it's just OK. But as it goes on it finds it's footing, drops some things that weren't working, becomes much more serialized, and gives and amazing amount of depth to the characters. I always encourage

My cell phone takes horrible video, but it was too cute not to at least try to capture.

My cat is sitting on the back of my recliner, trying to eat my hair. This is a new development.

I have. It's a really good movie. This is a completely story.

OK, I will try not to do any more Nikita spamming. Instead let's talk about my week.

This is a great article that sums up why you should all be watching Nikita.

Whyyyyy aren't more people watching Nikita? It's such an amazing show, with so many great, complicated women with agency. Last night's episode included a performance by Maggie Q that is absolutely Emmy worthy (not that she'll ever get it, because CW, genre show, etc). Seriously, watch if you don't believe me.
