I got my 2009 Z06 with 14,400 miles on it for $37,000 out the door last year. Since then I’ve spend $9,500 and it now puts down 580 to the rear wheels.

Heads, cam, headers, intake manifold, throttle body, cold air intake.

In a car that weighs 3180lbs, I don’t think I need more than 580. 

I’m a bit biased, but I can’t believe nobody has recommended a C6 Z06. You can get ones for close to 30k. Add ~2-3k to “fix” the heads and you’ve got yourself a very formidable track day car.

If he buys one for 30k, 10k in mods/heads fixed will net him a reliable ~600whp.

I haven’t had it at the strip, but people on the forums who have run their stock cars have gotten high 11s with stock tires and very low 11s with drag radials.

Mine is now heavily modified, heads, cam, intake and makes 580 to the rear wheels. So something like 640 at the crank? I do want to take it to the strip, but…

Idk what you’re trying to get at. I may be willing to spend 35k on a clean C6 Z06, but it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t haggle to get as close to 30k as possible. If they don’t budge, I’d still buy it.
