Why limit yourself to nexus. I have the Sony Z3 and love the built-in noise canceling (the proprietary ear buds are $30) and being outdoors a lot the waterproofing is priceless. Going to take pics on my whitewater trip next month, and already have tons of pool and other from the water pics.

All products should have recycling/disposal built in to the original sale. This would solve the problem and create competition in the actual recylability of the product. The less waste you have at the eol the cheaper your product at the beginning.

The main problem with connections that do multiple things (charge, transfer, headphones) is they wear out before the device. I have destroyed every usb (phone) within one year. At least if it’s going to be the main charging, make it serviceable.

One other issue that rarely gets mentioned, if you buy an expensive watch it’s relevant for a few years but an expensive Apple watch will be obsolete in a year or less it will definitely be noticed if you’re rocking last years gold watch.

The problem with retina is it depends on viewing distance and because the distance is never mentioned the word is useless.

I believe google glass hasn’t taken off is it was marketed to desk jockeys. Give me a version that can be used as a GoPro. I would pay full price to have a hud that could locate my fellow riders (skiing, off roading, biking) and I guarantee that people would show off knowing that they are being recorded.

Stop thinking of how to save it and start thinking of the best ways to adapt to the new environment we’re creating.
