The depressed, problematic man who is the protagonist and titular character is, I'm sure, to whom Hughes was referring.

Very nice. I’d also recommend Big Thief, Aldous Harding, and Tyler the Creator.

Rosemary’s Baby.

Is this David or D.B.?

I definitely disagree. All of her assumptions proved wrong, and her entire world finally fell apart around her. Everyone she counted on has died except her twin brother, who showed up with a presumably mortal wound. Seems perfectly reasonable that she’d fall apart at that moment.

Plus, assuming she was really pregnant.

I don’t remember her intentionally murdering civilians before.

What? It’s not about the bells, it’s about surrendering to your worst impulses. And it’s not the first time she did that.

I agree, I like the dry delivery of Harbour and also that they are leaning into Hellboy’s sarcastic side because it really does manifest itself in the comics. I don’t want this to be like a James Bond “quip after ever kill” action flick though. I hope the trailer just made it look like an action comedy and in reality

I read the comments here before watching the video, but after I watched it I thought his face looks... fine? Didn’t really look stiff aside from a couple of shots. Agreed that the hair is too greasy and messy, though.

The BPRD was an international organization that rolled out of WWII and was founded by British and American intelligence. I think in the “present” that the comics run through its a division of the UN or otherwise associated. Like explicitly. The whole idea that it was a secret American organizitation associated with

Now playing

It’s been mostly ignored but my album of the year is still Tropical Fuck Storm - A Laughing Death in Meatspace.

Ugh...
