That’s more interesting than anyone else in the movie by a longshot. 

Just got back from it—you should absolutely go see  it in theaters. Maybe the best superhero movie I’ve ever seen, and easily the most visually interesting. It might even be the best movie I’ve seen this year, to be completely honest.

Little late to the party here, but White Palace is no more difficult than some of the maddening nail-hop optional stretches later in the game. And if you have just a bit of patience (and maybe the hive charm) it only takes maybe 30 minutes to beat.

Yeah, I get all that. But it doesn’t make it less dumb. 

Am I the only one who thought Sorry to Bother You’s twist came out of nowhere and completely derailed what had previously been a wonderful film? It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but my wife and I’s disappointment with the 3rd act was palapable when we left the theater. 

I know people are worried about the makeup, but I just wanna say I already like Harbour’s portrayal of Hellboy way more than Perlman’s.

I dunno man, in the comics if Hellboy isn’t bemoaning his destiny he’s making a quip. A huge part of his character is his blunt, sarcastic sense of humor in the face of cosmic horrors

Eh. I didn’t find it to be much of a grower. If you’re not part of the BH cult idk if anything here is going to convert you. 

1. Tropical Fuck Storm - A Laughing Death in Meatspace

It’s either this or her sophomore record will take all her songwriting chops (I know I rag on her, but Heat Wave is genuinely a great song) and make better use of them to put out a much improved second outing.

Yup, same here. Can’t believe that Gareth is doing some of his best-ever work in a hastily-written supergroup project released almost 20 years into his career. 

But that Snail Mail record was a huge snooze. We’ve had 90s revivalism for a decade+ now, why is an underwritten record that falls back on the genre’s least interesting tropes getting so much attention?

I think 7 is my least favorite Beach House record, largely because it’s the same water-treading dullness as the rest of their catalog but with just enough off-brand flourishes for their (very dedicated) fan base to insist that it’s something new and revelatory and never shut up about it.

Because it’s not actually a cover—no idea why it keeps getting called that. It’s clearly an original song that heavily interpolates Africa for its chorus.

Ratings are up VERY slightly after 2 years of public scrutiny consistently dropped viewership.

Presumably millions of people, considering their last record went Platinum and they sell out stadium tours.

Nah Killer Mike has a lot of great takes and a small handful of very public missteps. I’d rather he do this and it be less than great than him NOT do it with the potential of it being great. 

I mean, things getting better is largely due to increasingly complex international infrastructures maintaining some semblance of stability, order and, most of all, reliability.

AND THEN WITH OR WITHOUT YOU COMES BACK IN. Oh man, perfect use of that song.
