I liked the other idea Mark had of being a Force Ghost that actually haunts someone. So he wouldn’t come back to teach Rey, but rather to torment Ren. Although that would have to be done carefully or it would be laughably bad.

I’m still hoping for Hayden Christiansen to show up as Ghost Anakin to have a talk with Ben Solo.

It has always been weird to me that an actor would want his character to be a perfect badass hero instead of a complex flawed character.

If there is anyone I feel bad for among all the debating and fury around Luke in The Last Jedi, it’s Mark. He trying to be very diplomatic now, but you can tell the changes to Luke just absolutely broke his heart (especially since he knew what George wanted to do with the character).

I sincerely hope the only reason they haven’t talked to Mark about being in Ep IX is just because they haven’t gotten around to it yet. If they don’t have a super sassy Luke Skywalker taunting Kylo Ren for being The Actual Worst, it will be setting up something without payoff (“see you around, kid”) and be Leaving…
