I’ve heard cops say all kinds of stuff to people suffering from mental illness. E.g.: “It DOES look like Godzilla came in here and took your toaster....”

I don’t know, the official police report that she posted seems pretty conclusive.

Ahhhh, and now I know why someone sent me pictures of this tire and asked me what I think happened to it. Just from the pictures I said it looked like the tire was rotted and blew out. I thought it was a weird ass random thing for one of my friends to ask me about.

People don’t care about maintaining their cars in general. Fluids, tires, brakes, etc get replaced when they fail and cause an accident.

All of those slashes are classic “drove on the flat because I didn’t feel like changing it.” It happens when the totally flat tire gets pinched between the rim and the ground. Nothing to see here, just another uninformed idiot that thinks tires should last forever. It’s crazy common for people to never change their tires, especially here in Arizona where there’s no snow. The amount of people I see driving on completely bald tires worn down to the belts is insane.

Malice if someone was sawing at her tire. Aren’t like 99.9999% of tire slashings actually punctures (e.g. stabbed at like a dagger), and not slices?

God came down and personally told me both claims smell like bullshit.

1. There have been police (in OH, of course) who have testified to a vehicle speeding because of how fast it sounded going past them. Point being, police, like all of us, will bullshit you.

In assessing the rationality and credibility of this person, well...

If someone slashed it, they may have saved a life. Those tires aren’t safe/legal anywhere. The police must have been being nice not to ticket her.
