Battlefield Bad Company 2 was far better than Modern Warfare 1 / 2. Still is. If that Vietnam expansion is good - and it looks like it will be - it'll only reenforce that point.

Pretty annoyed that Activision ruined it for everyone - not that the genre wouldn't have taken a downturn anyway, as few genres can last 10 years on top of the world, but Activision certainly accelerated the process. But Harmonix definitely deserves praise for doing it right.
