@d4rk-h4x0rer: Yeah. I don't really care about block buttons and character design and gameplay mechanics issues. It could be done with a competent development team.
Burning Down The House reminds me of the Alpha Beta party at the beginning of Revenge of the Nerds.
I'll buy both as long as they aren't horrid.
@Swamphunter: This confirms that Capcom loves taking on all challengers.
@darkboy1200: Nah, I was going to buy the new one anyway - I just ordered the new model separately a little ahead of schedule due to my current one crapping out.
So. My third 360 died a few days ago. I've got the new model coming in a few days, but in the meantime I've dug out my NES and Dreamcast and hooked them both up. To my surprise (especially in regards to the NES) they both worked right away.
Virtual Shackles was great. That's about it.
G&G theme is always awesome.
@FreezerBite: FreezerBite - spot on. This is just as bad as MS putting out the 360 when they knew about the potential for hardware failure. Just have to push it out the door - "fuck the customer, we'll half-assedly deal with it later."
@Billy Brown: Agreed on all fronts, from choosing an Android over an Iphone when I get a new phone, and being wary of Microsoft's next console (my third just died yesterday).
More stale than Madden. Was really hoping someone else would get the license when it was up for renewal a couple of years back. Oh well.
All those things listed near the end of the article...Netflix, Twitter, Facebook, HD video streaming, and ESPN are all easily available elsewhere, on other platforms/via other services - many of which are superior on those other platforms and services.
@Sidious Strange: Yeah, and then charge us for it as well, in a feeble attempt to avoid "WTF IT USED TO BE FREE," outrage, they cancel 1 vs 100, introduce something non-licensed that is very similar, then charge 10-15 bucks per "season" for it, all the while playing dumb "What? This is new, this has nothing to do with…
@StocDred: Yeah. And it'll cost 15 bucks a "season" as well.
Yeah, video game nerds are real intimidating. I'm sure a guy who will break into your car knows or cares who "Gordon Freeman" is.
I like how MS is doing the dog-and-pony show with the stupid motion controller in a godawful, misguided attempt to "appeal to the family," but then kills off the one thing that really did appeal to the family.
@JuiceMan: It would be about as unexpected as the sun rising in the morning if MS canned this just so they could introduce a non-licensed "game show" later this year that they charge 10 bucks for.
This is the only thing on the console that everyone in the house could be interested in. The wives and parents I've seen with a 360 in the household won't care about some stupid gimmicky motion control add-on that costs 150 bucks, but they were always willing to sit down with others and try to run up their…
@TheRockingDead: I will too, for all the good it will do.
