It requires you to equip a bomb rune and weapon or bow, face generally south (no one knows why it only works when facing south)

The game relies on experimentation more than an adequate tutorial introduction.”

This trend is really bad, frankly. The whole “Oh man, you just learn through context and the experience!” would be fine if most developers had the skills to actually make the learning experience intuitive.

But the vast majority don’t, and

Another useless Kotaku article. No information about the game, what platform its on, what it looks like in game, nothing.

Metroidvanias are Action Exploration Platformers.

Well, you wouldn’t call a Souls game a “Souls-like, or DOOM a “Doom clone,” or Rogue a “Rogue-like/Rogue-lite, or anything like that.

Long story short: what if more 2D side-scrolling action games focused on challenges besides killing stuff?

The Metroid Prime trilogy takes place between Metroid and Metroid II - Ridley was killed (or nearly killed) in Metroid, resurrected as a cyborg before Prime to create Meta Ridley, and upgraded/corrupted with Phazon to become Omega Ridley in Prime 3. He didn’t appear in the original Metroid II, but was in the 3DS

Everyone’s ignoring the obvious host solution. The same ideal host for the Academy Awards.

I get what you’re saying, but part of the problem is that people using the language aren’t really in a position to be able to say “this isn’t offensive and it’s your fault if you think it is, not mine.”

it assumes that everyone talking with those phrases with this “ableist” mentality in the forefront to intentionally be mean towards others.

And when was the last time a Nintendo game came out with game-breaking bugs? I’m sure there has been one, but it’s not like everyone else who yells Geronimo and launches whether the product is ready or not.

Linda fucking rocks. Really refreshing to see a collector who wants to play and enjoy the material instead of let it sit in a box. Hope to amass something like this for myself someday.

Eh. The devs are totally allowed to change a game any way to see fit. It’s their game to do as they will. People whining and crying about it need to fuckin’ chill. If you don’t like it, then shut up and take your money somewhere else. That’s what really matters in the end anyways. At the same time, I don’t think a dev

“How many computers do you think we should get for our crypto-mining operation??

“I dunno, a thousand?”

“That’s great. But what if we got a thousand. And then added another.....69?”

“Nice.”

This is going to go to a dark place before it gets better, but stay with me: after our son passed away 14 years ago, my wife and I moved to be closer to her family. While we were dealing with some depression, feeling really anti-social, and “turtling” so to speak, I did, with my wife’s encouragement, manage to drag

there’s a joke to be made here about how first party nintendo games never go on sale, but this is ridiculous

Waiting for the rest of his family to get so ready so they can go out but they’re all taking forever and instead of pacing or impatiently watching the clock--dudes chillin with his switch. He knows whats up.

I don’t knock astrology as a hobby—it’s no more illusory than organized religion in a lot of ways”
