I’m sure the Switch will have many more years of life. Unlike the Wii U it has sold in great numbers and has strong 3rd party support. Versions like the Switch Lite ensure that over time they can make cheaper versions that continue to drive sales and show developers it’s worth to keep making software for it.

They’re not going to pull a Wii U because people are buying Switches. It might seem like Wii U support was dropped quickly but when you look at sales the customer base abandoned it way before Nintendo did. The entire year of 2016 they didn’t sell 1 million units.
