Commercial vans (esp RVs) have been a ripe market for Hybridization for at least a decade. I would argue even more so for plug-in varieties since a lot of RV accessible campsites have electric 120v 30AMP power.
Yeah, it’s pretty funny, but to be honest, after camping in a lot of snow and below freezing weather, the cooler is awesome to have.
need one of these bad boys.
Toyota USA always needed market research before they made any changes with barely competitive products. It’s good that Jeep and Ford came out with their Hybrid platforms because otherwise they’d have no good reason to release their own.
there’s not enough room for a rooftop tent though.
I’d be really tempted to get a Jeep Cherokee and add tracks to it in that sort of snow.
Pass on fwd.
Nice, my friend’s headers split on the driver’s side. sounds like a super old V8 w/o a cat. He’s had other issues too, blew out his rear diff and random sensors going bad. kinda funny since he bought it w/ like 80k hoping it’d have fewer problems.😂
How are the headers doing?
I think a Turbo 4 makes the most sense, even a smaller straight/slant 6 would make sense since they could keep the turbos on top (or on bottom) to be easily accessible. I could never be content w/ a V6 configuration, it’s just not for civilized people.
I mean to be fair, it would be a sh*t ton more practical with a twin turbo inline six mated to a Lithium-based hybrid platform.
I mean, that might be your opinion, but my opinion is that a package that’s been speared by a forklift is having a worse time than a properly packed packaged tossed.
Legit, FedEx workers are dealing w/ car jackings, getting shot, getting killed over their deliveries. Keeping the engine running, chucking a package, staying save so they can deliver packages another day, I approve of this.
They delivered the package. That’s their job.
I guess the other mod would be a manual transmission. lol.
Driver mod.
I’d be really pleased if Mazda were able to make a traditional ICE with a rotary. But I’d be equally pleased w/ a twin turbo slant-6 platform with turbos facing upward with an asymmetrically vented hood.
I guess this solves my question of “so who’s gonna build it?, cuz we know toyota aint!”
My 2004 Scion xB which I’ve owned since 2004 has only:
