Regarding game horses.
Usually a horse in game is just another tool, but when it’s a character with overarching themes of loyalty and companionship, that’s the best the horse.
Nobody yet has made me give a shit about a horse in a video game like Shadow of the Colossus did. I’ll be interested to see when I play Metal…

From what I remember Gogo, while he does have all the character abilities, he doesn’t have the stats other characters have as well as the Esper bonuses. So in the pure power comparison I think he comes up short; however, he’s super fun to use.

If you just fight Vargas normally the fight will stop to show you how to do a Blitz. You just have to take enough damage from Vargas before the tutorial starts. That’s the way the fight was intended to go.
