Imagine you work for Valve 10 years and your resume reads: developed hats.

That’s like saying you can trim the fat on all the Harry Potter books because it’s “pointless.”

The characters in Overwatch have a story to them, and you hear it in their voice lines and the tidbits they share with each other. You don’t have to watch these, but they flesh out characters beyond more than a name.

I’m now disappointed in myself for missing out on that opportunity.

I’m not forgetting. The updates are free though, and I already have the game. So I tried it. And I really like it now. Sucks they lied and sold an early access game, but it’s now a really fun game. Maybe try it out now. Or not. I really don’t care. Be mad all you want at them and never play it again for all I care. No

The new update is incredible. I actually liked the game enough as just a simple exploration game right after release, but they’ve really brought it up to its full potential more or less. (If they could add slightly better MP to where you can actually join up with a friend or three and explore together, it would be

But for real tho...

the next big overwatch toxicity crisis: “the payload” being used in a derogatory way. eg: “go find a payload” being lobbed at you when you suck at TDM

One of the things I really appreciated about this game that I feel has been overlooked is that the game designs convey that you are not necessarily”in control” of Senua but that you are one of the voices spurring her on. I feel this is communicated in combat, in the way she moves, and even at the point in the game

What? “Fairly poor game mechanics”? They’re known for LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE of that? They’ve consistently had extremely good game mechanics. It’s literally what they’re know for.

I feel like Hellblade is the most important game of the year, and probably the generation.

Are they known as an Edgy developer? Why? Because they made Dante swear a few times? I mean this doesn’t look any more edgy than any of the other dark fantasy titles out there.

Why does “fun” have to be the point of every game? Is “fun” the point of every movie, or every piece of music?

Some of my favorite gaming moments are emphatically NOT “fun.” If that’s not your thing and you only want games that entertain you, that’s your prerogative and that’s totally legitimate.

The amount of people on the internet today who seem to be eager to prejudge this game and shit all over it is baffling.

I’ve played up to the first boss and it has been a fascinating and unique experience so far.

Basic doesn’t mean bad. Yes it is basic (3 attacks - fast, strong, kick - dodge and block/counter) but forget bout queue of enemies. Oh hi Assassin’s Creed. You can fight with one enemy and two more will hit you in your head from behind without any warning. Well not exactly without warning, but you never know if

That...doesn’t make sense.

Did you just put Ninja Theory and poor gameplay in the same sentence?

“fairly poor gameplay mechanics”
from the studio that did heavenly sword, enslaved and dmc? WTF? In my book, Ninja Theory is a studio that always makes rock solid and impressive gameplay. I place them right there with Platinum Games

Deviating from the meta, these wild and crazy guys.
