Another small tip would be to use a razor knife to trim the excess plug flush with the tread of the tire. This type of plug is also supposed to be temporary... <—-Lol, right.

I think the concern is the warm water opens the pores and could allow water to, (wick?), into the wood and allow bacteria to populate.

I’ve not used Uber, or even checked out the app for that matter. Sounds like Uber needs to have an option for the drivers to select if they are going to be recording or not. When the customer/passenger selects a driver that would act as consent.
