It’s true. I just wish more 944s and 924s showed up!

I was told to make a portfolio of my personal projects on Monday actually. The fact that I’ve now heard it twice is indicative of how imperative it must be! After more exams tomorrow, I’ll have to get started on that ASAP. I love working with teams and in collaborative environments.

I’m in mechanical and manufacturing engineering technology right now. One year left until graduation. 

Make no mistake, I’ve had a few internships over the past few years, and I devoted my time to classwork, working on cars at home, and working in general instead of SAE teams. If that’s my mistake, so be it. EV is not the reason I’m not getting in. I simply might not be smart enough for them.

It’s wonderful that there are still awesome performance cars, make no mistake. However the ones I’m passionate about are bound to be the last of their kind on the mainstream. There has not been a single EV, hybrid, electric vehicle of any kind in the last decade that has resonated with me in any way.

I’ve done engine work at home on my classic cars. Getting a job in the industry, especially with the Big 3, is to me, is nigh impossible for someone like me. I’ve tried for the last few years. Suppliers and contracts seem to be the only way “in” and that’s much of an in if I’m honest. I’m not the kinda person they…

Man.....I dreamed about getting into the auto industry and doing exciting performance cars with awesome engines and the sort. But some dreams just have to die, if only I wasn’t born in the 90s....I was born too late!!

Would it be fair to say that Jim Hatchet’s plan of hacking away all the small cars and such, isn’t making the cut for profits?

No mention of Porsche’s boosting of the EA831? I’m being pedantic, but the 924 Turbo (931) deserves special mentioning. And I’m also saying this because mine is funner than the 944 I owned previously.

I’ve been restoring a 924 Turbo for the last three years and live pretty close to Mr. Tracy. Does that count for anything?
