Burning Giving away your money before an actual product even exists means there’s no incentive to make a good final product. Preordering rewards bad, unfinished games, as long as there’s a high enough marketing budget. It offers no benefit to the consumer.

In other words, I’m going to turn my ad blocker back on for Twitch. Got it.

Well, this sucks. On one hand, I barely use Prime for anything and axing the pre-order discount and raising the membership price is a good reason for me to leave. On the other hand, free shipping on odd stuff I need plus a free Twitch subscription for friends was nice. Damn. Amazon sucks.
