Tires are mounted on wheels. The thing that runs along the edge of the wheel is the “rim”. Why do people in the automotive industry constantly substitute one word for another?

For some reason these people think that if they buy a car today for, say, $100,000, store it for 20 years in an air-conditioned garage, keep it insured and maintained for all that time (at least $5k/year) and end up selling it a Barrett Jackson for $200,000 that they’ve somehow proven how insightful they are. The S&P…
“It may not be a bad idea to request a salesperson who specializes in the Nissan Leaf so you get someone who is a bit more knowledgeable about that product.”
After 25 years in the car business, I can assure you that you can’t “request” a salesperson. Your salesperson is whomever took the call or greeted you on the lot.…
“Owned by Richard Scott and shot by Jay DeVries, the Impala is reportedly all original in its white-on-chrome splendor.”
That car is red.
Mangusta is Italian for Mongoose. Supposedly the only animal that can kill a Cobra.
Cadillac has been trying to attract “a new generation of customers” since about 2001 and earlier with their failure named the Catera. They’ve been going after younger people so long you’d think their primary clientele would be too young to drive.
Were you potty-trained at gun-point?
Although I’m not a NASCAR fan, I’ve wondered why they use tires with very high sidewalls compared to the “stock” cars they supposedly emulate.
Up until now I only knew her as a sometimes participant on some car shows. Why does it take a person’s death for the public to find out just how substantial she was in the automotive world? I will really, really miss her. I’ve very sad this morning.
I have difficulty believing that many people who are considering buying a Porsche are also seriously considering a Corvette. They are two different buyers.
I’m sure people in a position to own it are grateful for your financial/moral/historical opinions.
Or, maybe not.
Rather than pontificate as to what others should do with their possessions, I’d recommend that YOU buy it and then hand it over to a museum for the “public to behold”. Let us know when you do.
I’m really curious why grown men are continually turned on by burning tires off a car in a cloud of smoke.
My grandson laughs when I squeeze a certain toy in his face because of the funny sound it makes. I can do it 100 times and every time he acts like he’s never seen it before and reacts with a serious belly laugh

Don’t worry about it. We’re talking about Fiat’s here. They’ll rust into oblivion in another month or so. I know, I’ve owned one.
OK, so what’s the difference between a color photograph and one that’s been manipulated to look like a color photograph? Color is an illusion either way, so who cares how the illusion is created?
Yeah, but then you’ve got to be seen in a 1960s muscle car. There’s more class and originality in a beat-to-shit modern car than old, redundant, unimaginative 1960s iron, which is why so many of them are getting resto-modded. They drive and handle like pieces of shit and are about as overplayed as a Rolling Stones…
I’m 63 years old and I like “is a thing”. It’s succinct and easy to understand.
No one seems to mention the other benefit to a mid-engined Corvette. Now they can finally bring their engines into the new millennium by developing overhead cam engines. They had claimed that the taller form factor of an overhead cam engine would have raised the hoodline in the C7 to an unacceptable level. The…

Sounds like about a $10k option
That won’t help. If you trade a car to someone who hasn’t paid it off, its still your issue from a legal standpoint. You may have to sue the dealership for non-performance, but it is still your responsibility to make sure the bank is paid. The dealership has an agreement with you, not your lender. Simply notifying the…
