I pretty much agree with the review all around. The addition of some humor was welcome. Some of the plot points were a bit hasty. (X-Files did that a lot as well. Stuff that should take hours takes mere seconds. The meeting in the mobile home with the tour guides also felt very X-Files, but in a good way.) And then

That's not a problem. They were doing what the guy who set up the prize wanted. That's not a problem. It's not a problem if "important" writers don't win every possible prize. People need to just get over that.
