I guess I have to say I was drunk when I wrote this, I don’t know why I really cared, or this much... (It has nothing to do with the character, if anything something to do with principles or behaviours.)

For those non-sports nerds who don’t get the Randy Johnson reference, allow me to share this video of baseball Hall of Famer Randy Johnson (accidentally) obliterating a bird with his fastball:
Don’t worry, African americans will just stare at it and save the day. The clouds will retreat because everyone knows we are aggressive and the clouds will retreat in fear. Thanks Texas textbooks for the insight into my demeanor !!!
If you have a Lorazepam handy, this might be a good time for some self care, internet stranger.
I hope Vox Day (aka Theodore Beale) is having stroke over this.
Hey, didn’t you have a “comment not a question” at every sf convention panel I’ve ever attended?
In a separate article, Taiki Waititi cited 1980's Flash Gordon as one of the film’s main influences.
Michael Sheen will always be the real Wesley Snipes to me.
SAME. ALL THE LONG-SLEEVED RASH GUARDS!
Well you can look at as a Latino is finally getting a bigger role (Heck ANY role) in a Star Wars film.
Literally every other pale person I know shares this feeling, yeah. You’re not alone. People just feel like they’re free to make these insane comments! It’s beyond insulting, it makes me feel like an ugly freak, and it serves NO purpose. It’s pure gawking at someone because they look different.
Oh thank goodness. I was afraid I was the only person who felt that way when I read the comment. I was worried I was being over-sensitive because, as a pregnant and very pale person, I am about at my limit with other (not my doctor) people’s advice on how to care for my body.
Good fucking lord, I’m sorry, but as a very fair-skinned person, I fucking hate it when people feel the need to comment on how pale I am, and remind me that I need to wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun. PALE PEOPLE KNOW WE’RE PALE. WE’RE NOT FREAK IDIOTS. WE KNOW ABOUT SUNBURNS. It’s not weird, it’s not all that…
God, I love Naomi Watts in this, so good to see her working with Lynch again.
Sorry, but as an old I’ve heard his rant or versions of it all my working life. Women are more emotional. Not cut out for the rigors of tech life. Have too many family obligations and all the attached baggage. What if Hillary has her period and starts a nuclear war????!!11! You got a slot in engineering in uni…
You don’t have to see what the fuss is about. It’s literally not necessary for you to see what the fuss is about.
What he said that was true, was trivial, in that it wasn’t new insight. It was wrapped in a candy shell ood misogynist, right wing, already debunked bell curve bullshit. His screed just isn’t worth wading through.
Yeah..I mean, if you write a novella, possibly on company time, that puts you ability to work with others into question, and then circulate it on a company network to your coworkers instead of discussing your concerns with HR..well, that has a consequence.
But we REALLY fucking care.
