I can see that it is rape by fraud, but I don’t think that is a legal thing. This specific instance in the story seems to be rape but the general scenario I think fits closer to fraud. That is the women are consenting to sex for the purpose of the supposed job.

This all seems very wrong (the short punishment) but the statement “A prison sentence would have a severe impact on him…I think he will not be a danger to others,” got me thinking about what we are trying to accomplish with prison. Are we trying to punish or rehabilitate?
