I actually hate that “You can’t love someone into loving you” is shockingly resonating and relevant to me, at this immediate moment in time.

They are box braids. There’s nothing unusual about those braids. They just aren’t very common on white girls, which might be why some people think they are unusual.

Also, it’s a fucking fast-fashion clothes store. They pay minimum wage and sell hotpants and bustier tops. They’re not really in the position to require a full skirt suit and a neat bun.

I feel like anything that is neat and clean is professional. Bright dies may be too much for places like law firms and financial institutions but IMO as long as the color is well maintained it can still look professional.

Last week one of the girls from Teen Mom made headlines when she had her hair styled into dreadlocks. As soon as there was an outcry that this was cultural appropriation the masses of the internet came out to say there’s no such thing as cultural appropriation/ she was just admiring black culture/ PC culture has

To hell with Zara, then!

I feel like a little while back there was also a reveal that they primarily targeted black and brown customers as potential “shoplifters” too. Zara is pretty racist all in all.

Her hair looks beautiful, and I can’t imagine what actual problem there could be with it. Zara have opened themselves up to some serious problems here I think. Unless they have an actual “no braids” policy, which I highly doubt they do.

goddamnit.

I applaud what Cara Jennings did to Rick Scott. She may have effectively neutered him as a politician going forward, and that's a good thing. You can always tell a rank amateur politician when they decide to get into a street argument with someone who doesn’t agree with them.

Won’t it be great when a barista comes forward to say that he paid with his State of Florida credit card, and didn’t tip?

Huh, don’t Florida tax dollars pay HIS salary? Sounds like “public assistance” to me!

That will teach him to send a minion to fetch his brew in future.

Big fan of how he attacks her for being in a coffee shop...at the same time he was in the coffee shop.

I know they must exist, but who the fuck are the people who would watch an ad like that and think, “yeah, screw that lady, this ad is totally reasonable and makes Rick Scott look good and not at all more like voldemort than he did before."?

I don’t personally get the base notes of slut-shame, but I do detect a rancid top note of judgment.

That source is really reaching, isn’t it? I get a slut-shamey vibe from it.

‘Drew had a very rebellious and wild childhood, with no family around her, and while she is a different person now, and a great mother, some of that can stay with you.’

Everybody get out of here. This was enough.

Jay Bilas had a great piece on this. Transfer rules are effectively non-competes against their assets. If they were regular students not assets the school wouldn’t care. If they’re assets: pay them, if they’re students: let them do whatever (within reason).
