I don’t understand why people are so opposed to these upgraded ports. Personally, I feel like Smash Switch will be somewhere between a port and a completely new game, but even if it was a ‘deluxe’ port, does it matter? So few people experienced the Wii U era games, and it’s clear there is a desire to see many of the

I bought my PS4 and Inquisition to cheer myself up after a rough breakup. We’d been together for 4 years and were living together when it happened. The story, characters, and world were absolutely mind-blowing to me and helped me to escape from the turmoil occurring in my real life.

Supposedly the actual announcement is coming at 12pm EST today. Thank god, because Activision has been teasing us all week!

It’s frustrating to see someone so objectively successful put himself down so much. Nier: Automata is one of the best video game experiences I’ve had in many years, and it held it’s own in a year absolutely packed with amazing video games. He should be proud of his accomplishments and give himself some credit. I like

According to Gematsu, SE has said it won’t be localizing the 3DS version. Switch coming ‘much later.’

I’m glad we’re getting it on PS4 this year - I can’t wait to play - but I’d like to see the 3DS version localized as well.

Kamiko was the first indie I bought on my Switch, and I’m pleasantly surprised to see it on this list. It’s only $5 and pretty short (one playthrough only takes about an hour or two) - but the three playable characters each have their own play-style which makes it a longer experience.  It’s a really beautiful 2D

I have no problems with the ports because so many people have yet to experience many of these amazing games (especially the first party titles)- sure, I won’t buy all of them because I own most on them on the Wii U, but some (to me) are worth a second purchase.

I’m hoping to see Fire Emblem Switch and a release date for Octopath Traveler (which also needs to be the final name).

Gita’s just getting her jush.

I never thought I would see Aja on Kotaku. Thanks sis.

My Wii U is still hooked up to my TV with my Switch and PS4, and I won’t be giving it up unless Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE are all ported and Skyward Sword is released on the Switch.

Looks cute. I’m not really interested, but I hope my nephews are.

I was initially thinking it might be a more durable 2DS-esque version of the Switch. But the rumors seem to point to software rather than hardware/services.

No. If you want a better sense of what is going on, I would suggest watching the anime and film. I enjoyed both a lot more than the Episodes - especially the anime.

I’m a big fan of FFXV. No it is not my favorite in the series by any means, and it certainly has its flaws, but I enjoyed the characters a great deal and cried at the end.

The new anime everyone is talking about....is Devilman Crybaby.

I’m glad that January is looking like slim pickings because I have a big backlog to catch up on. That being said, I am looking forward to Lost Sphear on the Switch. I liked I Am Setsuna, and I’m excited to play a similar game with settings more varied than snow.

Glad I can finally finish Hitorijime My Hero now.

I was happily surprised to see TMS#FE listed at all. I’d love to see a port and/or a sequel. Though I feel both are unlikely.
