At least in my industry when someones does something stupid and gets public heat for it we all know not to repeat that mistake yet none of these teachers read…

Actually, NBC doesn’t pay for figure skating music rights. Skaters can pick whatever music they want and no one (NBC, IOC, ISU) has to license it. So why would breaking be any different? There seem to be some factual inaccuracies (or at least plot holes) in this article. 

I know some music that can be licensed for cheap!
