I’m excited about the freedom this game will provide in the approach to the story, but am really curious how it all shapes up in the end. Super excited that it comes out on my birthday! Can’t wait!

Pausing fights just to find your items, classic. Reminds me of the Fallout skit where the player “freezes time” when going into VATS, and the enemies are wondering why they can’t move!
I don’t entirely agree with it either, but in THAT specific Zelda, it’d be too easy. You could be one of those people who goes to Hyrule Castle first, find one of the best weapons, and then use it for the rest of the game. There would be no challenge.
This is strange... Can you imagine though the consequences in some cases if this continues? I imagine being really into a song, only to be let down if they changed it and the newer version just isn’t as good. Music is very subjective, so I can see this becoming a problem
I enjoyed many classics growing up. I find it really hard to play them nowadays though. Not sure if we as gamers are spoiled by modern gam-design, or just that advanced that we can’t help but feel old games are “bad.”
My favorite endings are typically sad, beautiful or both.
9/10
I used to be an avid Tumblr user some time between 2010 and 2014. As some other people are saying though, if you’re there just to look at the art and memes, and not really communicate with other users, you wouldn’t notice much amiss about it.
I sure hope all those red cereals don’t taste the same. That would be pretty bad
The laughing at your defeat thing can work, or it can be like my dad who does the small laugh and then curses in anger afterwards
Omg dodging lightning was the absolute worst... Had to put the game down for days a time with that one
Maybe I’m crazy, but I’m of the mind that I feel bad if I don’t finish a game. Even if I hate the way a game plays or even the story/characters, sometimes a good ending can (kinda) make up for it, and you won’t know the end until you get there. Skipping the rest of the game by looking it up online takes away the…
It seems like a metaphor for being a Dark Souls character
During the first demo I was drawn to Olberic first before Primrose. I’ve always liked the more “knightly” characters in any game I play. This demo, I wasn’t sure who to choose at first, and I realized I didn’t want to spoil too much before the full game came out. I decided to play Tressa as a merchant girl would…
Octopath Traveler comes out on my birthday and I couldn’t be more excited for it. The rest of this year is looking great as well!
When I read the title of the article, I was thinking you’d be talking about games like Dark Souls or Darkest Dungeon. But it sounds more like you’re placing the stress on yourself. I feel at peace when I play a game like Stardew Valley, knowing that everything is light-hearted and nothing can really ruin your day…
I doubt Japanese developers are gonna budge when it comes to complaints like this. And frankly, this is just how Ivy has always been. Would you like Bayonetta to stop using her hair and becoming basically naked when she fights? That would ruin her character, and old time fans would be very angry. I understand wanting…
I’m with ajdragoon on this one. I loved BD but the ending pretty much ruined the game. Even if you do skip the optionals and only fight the necessary bosses, that’s still a lot of unnecessary, repetitive padding for a game that was long enough on its own.
A friend of mine recently became upset because her post got deleted. It said “The Octolesbian Expansion” which was celebrating the new DLC. Now I don’t know about you but if the existence of Lesbians is considered inappropriate for children, I think we need to reevaluate things a bit.
With Cloud in the picture, my hopes for Sora are high as well.
