Part of that is the big box stores push for price cuts from their suppliers every year.  Raw materials costs certainly dont support that so something has to give. 

I used to be a manager at Target, and occasionally during the holiday rush would jump in and build bikes, just because I’m mechanically inclined and it was a nice break from the craziness on the sales floor.

I’m pretty sure you can’t get the 392 in the 2 door Wrangler either, so seems like both limit their premium offering to 4 door only. 

Yup. There’s a reason I grab them (being the Challenger, Charger, or 300) as rental cars when I see them over just about anything else.
