Most PSX games are fine but N64 is the problem. Never really had any 2d games having issues, unless it was on the n64.

The retropie OS is based on the retroarch distro. It takes about 15 minutes to configure, not much longer than hacking a snes mini.

Wich you can have on a retropie or any emulators. Again I get why people want those LICENSED product, it comes from Sony themself and it’s a collectible. BUT if you only want to play some retro games an emulator will be better than those retro console.

The pie does have saves states tho, can add scanlines and all. The retropie OS support skins, people have made a clone of the nes classic GUI too.

You probably have a controller or two laying around tho, it’s compatible with pretty much everything, it has bluethoot and usb ports, you don’t really need a case too (it’s recommended but not needed, some case are sub 10$). You probably have a micro sd card too.

All the reasons? One of the reason to buy that is to play games. You could thake an old broken ps1 and put a pie in it and buy a ps1 controller adaptor or one of the thousand usb dualshock knockoff.

Not really, meta cards are about 20$ to 30$, sure you ‘save’ by buying them separately but still a deck will cost you a few hundred.

Sure sometime sometime you could make a connection or 2 during the raid but that is unchanged even now. Guilds are the community aspect, sure at the time…
